Go WITH the flow

If it weren’t for sorrow, joy would be insignificant because we would have nothing to compare it to.

When we lose the thing that gave us joy, dark and depressing thoughts of what we have lost can tear a hole into the soul.  Yet this hole serves as a release, it allows what’s inside (a buildup of depressing thoughts) to be discharged.  It also allows what’s outside (new and revitalising ideas) to come in and replace the loss.   If we try and seal this hole before this exchange is complete, we would trap the release and block the in-flow.

We need to allow our ripping pain to heal in its own time, using healthy methods.   Each of us have our own pace, don’t rush what is unique to you, but be aware of holding on to what you don’t need …

Sorrow – the emotionional result of loss.

Joy – the emotionional result of freedom.

Realising we have everything at our disposal when we need it is a powerful feeling.  It’s almost addictive, we may want it all the time.  We’re eager to regain that sensation and it’s easy to pretend we’re “ok”, it’s easy to say “I’m fine”.  Remember, you can’t fool yourself as easily as you can fool others.

Be honest within even if you show a different face to the world.  If you heal yourself properly you will emerge with different feelings and new opinions you might never have owned had your soul not been rent by sorrow.

New things will soon become the norm, newfound boundaries will soon lead us to become comfortable again.  The cycle, for now, is complete.
