Fine lines of judgement

We can’t all spot that fine line between letting things be and proactively changing it.  The challenge comes in acknowledging that fine line for what it is.  This is where instinct should take over.  However, due to peer, media, and other foreground influences we tend to cup our hands around our eyes, blocking out what we don’t want to see.  When our viewpoint prevents us from seeing beyond the line, or obscures it, we can be led to believe that we took the only option we had.

A clear mind is easy to achieve, although it often means going against our rebellious desires and swapping it for self-discipline.  Aspiring towards self-discipline is a test of endurance and strength far beyond any prize-winning competition.  Self-discipline, in my opinion, is the most powerful skill to master.  It ranks way up there with unconditional love.  Once mastered, it no longer feels like effort and the result is, surprisingly, freedom.
